Technical crawl assessment
Where the next chapter meets the next student.
Alexander College has a new Vancouver academic home, established university pathways and an emerging business degree. The opportunity is to make every digital encounter communicate that future with the same clarity.
A college with a strong story deserves a more connected digital one.
Alexander College is not starting from zero. University Transfer, associate degrees, student support, a central Vancouver campus and a new BBA give it substantial reasons to be chosen.
Yet the path from search or social discovery to a useful programme answer is not always as direct as it could be. That is where we see the strongest opportunity.
Explore the official University Transfer pathway ↗Relevance
Reach people researching pathways, not simply searching for a place to study.
Clarity
Explain programmes, transfers and outcomes in language students understand.
Confidence
Show real campus life, academic support and proof behind the promise.
Action
Give every interested student an unmistakable next step.
Useful signals, not vanity numbers.
Our starting point is the connected Ubersuggest and SocialInsider data. We separate what was measured from what still needs confirmation.

Search visibility already exists.
Pages about degrees and university transfer rank for meaningful educational queries. They offer a foundation for a stronger programme enquiry journey.
Not every search visit is a future student.
A Vancouver SkyTrain guide contributes notable estimated traffic. Useful local content can attract attention, but programme relevance and enquiry quality need to be measured separately.
Evidence note: Organic traffic and keywords are Ubersuggest estimates, not college analytics or application counts. SocialInsider access in this account is limited to the most recent 14 days. The 90 day publishing history has not been fully verified.
Students do not choose a college from one post. They choose it through a sequence of answers.
From an early idea about studying in British Columbia to an informed programme application, every touchpoint should reduce uncertainty and build momentum.
Good campaigns meet students at the question they are already asking.
Select a programme or student moment to see a complete campaign blueprint across creative, media, search, landing pages and measurable actions.
Give the content a clearer job.
Here is a redesigned carousel concept based on the actual transfer education topic found in the recent social posts. It is new creative direction, not a screenshot of the college's current design.
Before you choose your courses, ask these three questions.
Start with a decision the student is about to make.
Make the information saveable with one point on each slide.
Direct readers to the official transfer resource and academic advice, not a generic profile link.
A content direction for review, not a published Alexander College asset.
Meet intent, then make the next click count.
Explore verified ranking examples and the action they should support. Open Google for the live public result instead of relying on a static mock as proof.
Search layout is a redesigned illustration, not an embedded live Google results page. Rankings are estimates supplied by Ubersuggest; the live button opens a genuine Google search.
Make the existing website work harder.
Largest Contentful Paint
Estimated visits are not the same as student intent.
Rankings with a clearer student purpose.
| Query | Canada volume | Position |
|---|---|---|
| Associates of Arts degree | 590 | 02 |
| Associate of Arts business administration | 260 | 02 |
| SFU transfer | 260 | 04 |
| University transfer guide BC | 70 | 11 |
| SkyTrain Vancouver hours | 2,900 | 04 |
Ubersuggest keyword estimates. The SFU query currently points to a PDF asset in the ranking dataset. SkyTrain is broad local discovery rather than direct programme intent.
What we would prioritise
Course planning and university transfer, associate degrees, academic English support, Vancouver student experience and new BBA degree discovery.
Visibility in context, not in isolation.
| Institution | Organic visits | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Alexander College | 14,911 | 38 |
| Columbia College | 11,197 | 40 |
| Coquitlam College | 13,271 | 33 |
| Langara College | 91,524 | 55 |
Ubersuggest Canada estimates. Institutions vary considerably in scale, scope and audience.
Backlink context
19,224 backlinks across 1,600 referring domains, including 15,138 follow links and 4,086 nofollow links. Quality requires a domain by domain review, not a judgement from totals alone.
Concrete technical findings, down to the affected page.
Ubersuggest reported 12 high impact error occurrences and 202 warnings. These samples illustrate where the review should start.
Examples of broken pages 05 HTTP responses ↗
The crawl returned a 404 status for the prior Summer Camp 2026 fee page, the IT Helpdesk page, the Academic Advising route, a Student ID Card route and an older Academic Appeal form PDF. Update links or establish appropriate redirects where replacements exist.
Duplicate titles and descriptions 02 + 02 cases ↗
The Microsoft Help and Software Skills pages share the same title in the crawl. Two historical observance blog posts share a description. Each indexable page should describe its own purpose.
Metadata and URL structure Sitewide warnings ↗
49 empty meta descriptions, 63 long titles, 33 short titles and 41 URLs flagged by the audit for readability. Prioritise actual high intent landing pages before making broad structural changes.
Indexing and page exclusions 07 URLs ↗
Seven URLs are flagged as disallowed or blocked, including portal login screens and campaign pages. Excluding login screens can be intentional. Confirm whether any publicly useful campaign pages were excluded by mistake before changing directives.
Mobile render performance 48.4 second lab LCP ↗
The mobile lab run showed 3.6 seconds First Contentful Paint, 15.4 seconds Speed Index, 48.4 seconds Largest Contentful Paint and 66 seconds Time to Interactive. This differs from the better field classifications and needs repeated device and page testing. The same audit identified approximately 475 KB unused JavaScript.
One campus story, one clear place to go.
From September 2026, core academic services operate at the Vancouver campus. Search listings, social locations and directions should consistently guide students there.

The point is not to produce more for the sake of producing more. It is to make Alexander College's existing strengths easier to discover, understand and act on.

Expertise around the work, not an unnecessary layer around the college.
From verified insights to a more coherent growth system.
A deliberate sequence: align what is true, improve what is visible, then measure what changes for students.
Fix the foundations.
Review priority technical issues, Vancouver location consistency and the admissions journey. Agree on content pillars and what qualifies as a useful student enquiry.
Connect the story.
Activate transfer education, programme discovery, new campus storytelling and student perspectives with channel specific formats and clearer destination pages.
Learn and refine.
Compare the messages and formats that earn attention, qualified questions and useful website actions. Improve the journey based on measured behaviour.
Reserved for the next conversation.
A dedicated proposal area is included for the final scope and formal document once both teams have aligned on priorities. No commercial terms are included in this presentation.
The next student journey can feel simpler.
Alexander College already has meaningful academic pathways and a renewed campus story. We would welcome a focused conversation about the opportunities that matter most.
Six channels. One student story.
The audiences are real. The opportunity is to move from distributing information to building a recognisable reason to explore Alexander College.
One useful message, seen across three platforms.
A verified post from 28 October 2026 explains the difference between BCCAT and the BC Transfer Guide. The subject is valuable. The next opportunity is to adapt the format and action for each channel.
Consistency should be the foundation, not the final creative approach.
A search answer, a short video, an Instagram carousel and a LinkedIn insight can all tell the same story while serving distinct moments in the decision process.
